Captions (Live) Transcript
Hello everyone! Today, we’re going to talk about live captions. We’ll also discuss their importance, the benefits, and some examples.Live captions automatically transcribe speech on your device. They can be used for media like videos, podcasts, phone calls, video calls, and audio messages. All live video content should include captions that are synchronized with the audio content of the video. When live events are broadcasted with live audio, it is essential that everyone, regardless of their abilities, can perceive the information being conveyed.
Live captions are crucial for people who are deaf, deaf-blind, or hard of hearing. Non-native listeners and viewers of live webcasts or broadcasts also benefit from them. These captions must include all spoken words, identify speakers, and incorporate sound cues like laughs and claps to provide a complete understanding of the content.
For example, live captions are used during a phone launch event streamed on YouTube or a live broadcast of a country’s president addressing the nation.
